Top Knot

Here is an easy look seen on and off the runway, the top knot. Some shirts were made with the tie, however you can recreate this look with any button down shirt!

What do you think? Will you try it?

IN THE NAVY

Navy was definetly one of the most popular colors at NYFW S/S15. It was used in so many collections some as a major color, while some collections only had it in a few looks. Runners up were Coral and Yellow.

I'm really loving the navy Proenza Schouler dress (Top second from the left). Will you be wearing navy next Spring?

I still have a few more trends from NYFW meanwhile I'm falling behind on London and Milan! So much work to look at all the shows there are so many!

Jumpsuit Brunchsuit

I wore this outfit to a boozy brunch on Sunday. It always amazes me how brunch is such a "thing" in NYC and most places in America don't even know what a boozy brunch is ( including me until I moved here). Anyways I'm not complaining any excuse to drink unlimited mimosa's with friends and I'm in.

All Tied Up

One silhouette I saw through out the NYFW collections was a wrapped waist.  Its a great update to a classic cinched waist.

What's your favorite?

Weekend Wear

I wore this over the weekend while running a million errands and enjoying the start of fall weather. Wearing sneakers or flats is a must while I'm runing around because I always end up with 5 more bags than I thought I would and I'm struggling to carry it all home!

Also I switched over to my favorite fall bag I got from Zara last year. I am in love with the navy blue suede!

White Out

This is the first of a few trend post for S/S15. I will be doing trends on and off the runway! The all white look was a major off the runway. It is an easy look to pull off because you can wear whatever type of clothing you are comftorable in just in white! It looks effortless.

Which look is your favorite?

Graffiti

I found this shirt the other day in the MNG section at JCP. I orginally gave it to my sister for her but gladly took it back when she didn't like it. It was one of those sale on sale on sale markdown so I ended up getting this whole outfit for $30! Gotta love those end of the summer markdowns.I really love the graffiti print and cant wait to mix and match.

Short Story

I bought these shorts from H&M the other weekend because they are perfect for work. It is so easy to throw on a dress everyday but sometimes I enjoy putting a look together. Also I like that the shorts are no fuss I don't have to worry about bending over, my dress blowing up etc..

On another note I am REALLY loving this blue polish on my toes. It just makes me smile everytime I look down! The color is Essie- Strut your stuff.

The weather is getting cooler in the city and these shorts are going to carry me into the fall with layering.

Back to Blogging

Wore this outfit a couple weeks ago on my first day at a new job. Not that its an excuse for being absent for a month but finding a new job is extremely time consuming so it did have something to do with it. However now that I am a couple weeks in and getting comfortable it is back to blogging!

I got these shoes at the Zara sale for only $25 and they have not left my feet since. Ever since I bought them I feel like there the perfect shoe for every outfit! They are pretty comfortable which makes them an easy choice as well.

Floral & Denim

There is nothing better then rediscovering a piece of clothing that you totally forgot about! That happened when I was digging though my tops and stumbled across this one buried in the back. I completely forgot about this gem! I love the black contrast mixed with the soft floral. Tied it back with one of my favorite pairs of shoes and a denim mini.

Sheer Happiness

I've worn this dress a million times since I bought it but this was the first time I thought to pair it with these lace up boots and I'm wondering why it took so long! I think it gives the whole outfit an "effortlessly cool" vibe. I love when an outfit just clicks.

Dandelions

I bought this fabric years ago because I loved the colors and the simple print. I didn't know what to make for the longest time but settled on a simple flare skirt to keep in line with the print. I really love how cute and playful it turned out. I love wearing biker shorts underneath to add some tomboy flare to the otherwise sheer and girlie skirt.

Similar skirts here and here.
