Easy does it

Well I think this sweater will probably end up on the blog every other day because I feel the urge to throw it over every outfit I wear lately. Its just so lose and easy!

So glad the week is over! I will be flying to sunny (and 80 degree) Florida tomorrow! I am soo excited!

Beyond Repair

 As you can probably tell I love wearing these boots! I really like how they bring another print into any outfit.  I need to get another (or a couple more) pairs of ankle boots though because if I learned one thing from living in NYC for a couple years now its that you must rotate your shoes if you want them to last longer than one season. Otherwise you will wear them run them to the ground (and no shoe repair man will be able to revive them).

One of those days

Today was one of those days where nothing I put on looked good, fit good, couldn't find the pants I wanted to wear, the top I wanted to wear, the right shoes etc.. I was forced to throw on a basic outfit so I wouldn't be late to work and I left extremely unsatisfied with what I was wearing.

Anyways. My day didn't turn out to be so bad even with in my opinion, a super boring outfit.

I learned the technique of marbleizing on paper during art class in high school.  I knew you could apply the same technique to fabric but I always pictured some crazy design with vibrant colors. However I really love how designers have been using true marble colors on clothing/ accessories. It creates the look of a hard surface on soft clothes and I cant get enough of it. I think its both clever and really appealing. I just may have to buy one or two of the thing above! (Really love the phone case!)

Cream of the crop

In LOVE with this new cream sweater I found at TJMaxx. Wore this outfit to date night with the bf, we walked around Greenwich Village looking for a place to eat. Walking aimlessly around the city is one of my favorite things to do and we have stumbled upon some really great restaurants doing so! Last night we ended up at this great Mexican place called Florencia 13. We had amazing cocktails, and food!

Mixed Prints

 It was a chilly but sunny morning here in Queens, finally starting to feel like November.  

In light of the Isabel Marant x H&M collection, I thought I would wear a different designer collaboration. I chose a dress from the Suno x Uniqulo collab. I love the mixed prints on the dress and couldn't help but add another by throwing on a striped sweater. There is no such thing as too many prints in one outfit... or is there?

Dress Code

 

I'm pretty lucky the dress code at my job is the opposite of corporate. I can wear pretty much whatever my heart desires. Unless my heart wants to dress like a slut that day, then I can not. Anyways. Today I felt like throwing on super long layers, some leather (actually pleather) pants and my sneaks.

Remember when I mentioned I bought this skirt in 3 different colors? Well this is another one of them!I paired it with a fun sweatshirt which are still really trending (and easy) and these super amazing boots I found (years ago) at TJMaxx. 

I'm currently enjoying a half day of work with a cup of coffee still in pjs! What a great way to start the work week =) Happy Monday!

How awesome is this sweater?! It was an amazing find from the Salvation Army (you'll see more of those on the blog). I love how interesting the sleeves are and the uniqueness it brings to my outfit. Also speaking of amazing pieces I picked up this Jill Sander x Uniqulo coat last year at an extreme discount! I am obsessed with the silhouette!
